Visus Silvus Recadaver Species and Classes

Posted by FUNKCAT12 - 2 days ago

RECADAVERS

The rescued vessels were freed from their shackles of decay and nothingness. When they returned to Nevada, they were given the option to be whatever they wished to be now. A few did not see themselves to be anything else, so they kept their original identity. This was respected, and they came to be valuable to the cause of the Forest and its life. Forever were they venerated as brave soldiers to a world that turned against them. Praise be and prosper forever now.

The Recadaver species of the Nevada Forest and wholely Visus Silvus is essentially the basic slate of the Visus Silvus ranks. Keeping their original forms, they do not have any unique abilities to their race. However, their classes are very much powerful and supportive to the battlefield. Ranging from using magick to destroy and to restore, to simple specialization in the firearms they hold. Recadavers are the main force that keeps the entirety of the Visus Silvus moving whether it be through their rituals or through their battles, always fighting no matter what for the greater good.

CLASSES:

ASSAULT

  • Private - A newer member of the Visus Silvus ranks. Not all too special nor weak. Has decent enough skills to keep them alive in the field thanks to the rigorous training they learn through. Assault Privates are more adorned to putting the hurt on the enemy and are the ham to a ham and cheese sandwich on the battlefield.

  • Warlock - A mage of destruction. Able to cast all sorts of destructive magick to make his enemies wish they never picked a fight with of whom, is essentially a wizard. Their spells vary from fireballs, seismic explosions, telekinesis, furious induction, and the such. These guys will ruin your day.

  • Knight - Basically the swordbearer of the ranks, although they can be seen with shields. Their armor is more akin to that of a samurai (and a riot cop). Allowing for more mobility while also allowing for ample protection. Dont let it's appearance fool you though. For these guys can do some stuff with a sword or two like you've never seen.

  • Pathfinder - The Visus Silvus equivalent to a typical Soldat. Faster reflexes, impeccable mobility, and a mean sonuvabitch. They garnered the name "Pathfinder" because they're typically ahead of an assault, laying blood and bodies in their wake. You are very sure to become one of them if you're unlucky to meet one face to face. Guaranteed if you meet more than one.

SUPPORT

  • Private - A newer member of the Visus Silvus ranks. Not all too special nor weak. Has decent enough skills to keep them alive in the field thanks to the rigorous training they learn through. Support Privates are more adorned to, as their namesake suggests, supporting their allies on the battlefield. Whether it be ammo, recon, general motivation, or the such. They're the cheese to the ham and cheese sandwich of the battlefield.

  • Shaman - Graduating from the Private, their range of being able to support their comrades is greatly expanded with the help of the magick they use. Now they're able to conjure barriers, buff up their soldiers, clairvoyance to predict enemy behavior, and more. The Shaman is pretty much the most helpful unit to have on the battlefield.

  • Doctor - If making their soldiers temporarily an aiming god wasnt enough, now they're able to resuscitate the dead and to help their wounded brethren so they can get right back into the battle. As their name suggests, they're the combat medic of the battlefield. Whenever a brother falls, the Doctors will be there to rush in and get them back on their feet no matter what... except if half of your body is evaporated. Then you're kinda screwed.

  • Huntsman - The sniper of the units. Not very commonly seen in an assault, as they're much more meant for the home defense. Although they have a variant that allows them for a more desert and urban environment. They have the skill and wits akin to that of that one Finnish sniper guy. Worse yet? You probably wont see him coming.

The Visus Silvus is probably the most expansive and complex faction i've ever introduced to the Madness Combat community. And I intend to make it even more expanded with the newer (although long lasting) Cheshire Cat species. However at the time of writing this, the angles for these classes are not done and need to be started. I'll most certainly have my work cut out for me, but i'm truly excited to introduce the Visus Silvus totally in full and free to play about with.

For now though. Im content with leaving the Visus Silvus Recadaver species and classes as they are currently. I hope you folks enjoy these concepts as they are now. I myself, is definitely enjoying creating all this lore, systems, and stuff. It's been very enlightening to finally create the Visus Silvus in the exact image I wanted them to be after all these years when they were just "weird cult dudes who controlled a random mysterious forest in Nevada."

So yeah. That'll be all. See you all soon!

And remember. Praise Be the Forest, Prosper Be It's Life...
